Wireless Broadband for all of Highland Perthshire
Last year HPCP embarked on a community broadband project. The project began as a solution to the fact that many rural areas in Highland Perthshire would not be covered by the BT roll out. Since starting this ambitious scheme and overcoming many challenges along the way HPCP have the beginnings of a wireless network owned and run by the community. The network has live subscribers in Killiecrankie and Struan, taking residents in these areas from .5Mbps to a reliable 16Mbps. Up until this point many of the subscribers were considering moving to areas of better connectivity.
